Current Projects: Manning School of Business, Perry Hall/Olsen Hall renovations, North Campus Engagement Center, North Quad Infrastructure study; 5-10 year strategic space planning, indirect cost recovery, MEPA Strategic Development Plan (primarily university historical background, utilities + infrastructure, energy conservation, campus mapping)

Past Projects:  University Crossing Campus Center, University Suites residence hall, Central Services Plan, North Campus dry lab renovation, analysis of conference space usage, landscape guidelines, enrollment projections, key control policy, short-term use studies for current facilities and new acquisitions, East Campus massing study, campus parking mapping, housing supply and demand

 

Massachusetts State College Building Authority / Consultant / Apr 2010 – Mar 2011

Produced Strategic Plan Update 2010, a report about campus housing capacity across the Massachusetts State University system and at each campus. Tasks included data collection and analysis, generation of charts and tables, and composing and editing of the report’s narrative.

 

Summer Academy, Boston Architectural College / Studio Leader / Summer 2009

Co-taught summer introductory architecture studio for high school students. Developed materials for conceptual and technical reference, critiqued student work, led tours of Boston architecture and urban environment.

 

Rogers Marvel Architects / Intern / Summer 2008

McCarren Park Pool, public pool renovation/new construction (~100,000 ft): RCP + lighting plans, construction details (changing pavilions), Landmarks Commission presentation; design drawings and models for changing pavilions. Clarett Court condominiums: Utilities plans + window schedule for construction documents.

 

Massachusetts Cultural Council / Intern, Artist Link / Summer 2007

Developed database of artist space development projects by adding projects’ space programming, government involvement, funding structure. Wrote and designed toolkit for artists, developers, and municipalities to advocate for artist space. Analyzed MCC Facilities Fund grant applications to improve grant process.

 

Poodry Consulting Group / Contractor / Aug 2006 – Feb 2007, Feb 2008 – Dec 2008

Analyzed data for Massachusetts State Colleges rent trends study and housing portfolio study, created site plans for Massachusetts State College Building Authority, edited and designed MSCBA Strategic Plan (2006, 2008); assisted with urban campus study and architectural programming for Suffolk University.

Built models for theater design projects: C. Walsh Theatre (Suffolk University) renovation project, Rockport Chamber Music Society theater schematic design, theater set design for the Arsenal Center for the Arts.

Researched precedents and potential municipal projects: river business improvement districts + festivals, crime prevention technology, vocational schools, transportation agency structure, city services audits.

 

Seattle Department of Transportation / Intern / Summer 2003

Coordinated and edited the Planning Background Report, about the urban context of proposed monorail stations. Designed community involvement website.
